Photos from Sarah and Daniel’s summer wedding in Manhattan Kansas at the St Thomas Moore Catholic Church followed by a reception at the Kansas State Alumni Center.  

Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details.

We met through a mutual friend. I moved to KC and lived with a friend (Courtney) who went to High School with Daniel. I was a little apprehensive of being set up so I didn’t want it to be obvious when we came to meet with him.  After about 5 months of her trying to make a time work it finally did on December 28th, 2014. Courtney thought she could just tell Daniel she was bringing back her roommates for the Christmas party to make it not seem like a match up. Little did we know one of Daniel’s mutual friends told him Courtney was bringing someone for him to meet.

We showed up at his house and as soon as he answered the door with his cute half smile I knew Courtney was right. We danced the night away and the rest is history.

What is the most memorable date you’ve ever had?

Our first date. He came to Kansas City to take me out for dinner and a movie. After dinner when got into his truck when he handed me a bottle of my favorite wine. I didn’t even remember mentioning it to him but yet he had known exactly what I liked. He has always been a great listener and this truly impressed how he knew

Tell us about the proposal (did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Of course the proposal was perfect. Daniel had mentioned that I should come down on a Friday and he would get off early to go fishing and have the afternoon together. When I walked in the house he had balloons with pictures on them starting with the first picture we took. The room was lined with candles and rose pedals. The path lead to a separate room with more candles and flowers where he was down on one knee.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

I love how easy it is to just be me and communicate with him.

She loves me for who I am and I can be myself around her.
