Last night, I had the honor of photographing the annual Bromelsick Christmas Party at the University of Kansas Lied Center. The event is put on every year through the generosity of the Bromelsick Foundation. Alfred Bromelsick, a successful businessman who passed away in 1950, created the foundation through his will to benefit the Boy Scouts of Lawrence, Girl Scouts of Lawrence, and the 4-H Club. This year’s Christmas party featured performances by a Chinese Acrobat team from Sichuan, China. Watching the kids in attendance “ooh” and “ahh” at each trick and sing Christmas carols together with their parents just melted my heart. I even had a little girl come up after the show to thank me for taking photos. It doesn’t get any more rewarding than that. Enjoy the following highlights and view the complete gallery here.
