Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details.

Adam: I met her online when I stood up to someone who was being a bully online towards her. I found out she did not live far away and the rest is history…. Nice guys don’t always finish last.

Ellen: Adam and I first started talking online. He asked me on a date and drove down to St. Louis. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch March Madness. When he arrived and opened my car door, I knew he was a keeper.

When did you know he / she was the one? Was there something he / she did?

Adam: I knew she was the one because for our first date, she watched March Madness with me for like 8 hours. She was dressed nicely and I showed up in sweatpants and a hoodie. She is the complete package. No one is perfect in life, but Ellie is as close to perfect as I have met in life.

Ellen: I knew he was the one when he showed up for our first date and opened my car door. We had already been talking for some time before we went on our first date. It felt like I had known him forever and he became my best friend instantly. He was such a gentleman and I knew I wanted him forever.

What is the most memorable date you’ve ever had?

Adam: Our engagement weekend at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Not even close.

Ellen: Adam and I took a trip up to Green Bay, WI to tour Lambeau Field. He had a surprise engagement planned and it was the best trip we have taken thus far. It was the most fun and exciting weekend I have ever had!

Tell us about the proposal (did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Adam: HAHA! Ellen had no clue it was coming. I had been planning it for about 3 months with connections at Lambeau Field (home of the Green Bay Packers) to pull it off. I was not nervous (ice in my veins) but I was beyond excited!! I used every trick in the book to keep her clueless on this one.

Ellen: Adam and I had discussed getting married and the timing of when we wanted to be engaged. However, I had no idea it was going to be that particular weekend. Adam told me multiple times he would never do it on a trip because it would be too risky with the potential of the ring getting lost. Logistically, I also thought it may be too difficult for him to plan for an out of town trip, because I had mentioned I hoped to have a photographer capture the moment. I also had looked ahead to a few holidays and nicer events and figured he might do it on one of those since our family would be present. I was definitely thrown off the scent.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Adam: Everything, but if you make me pick one physical thing her blue eyes: Her eyes tell me everything I need to know about her. If you want one emotional trait, her work ethic to everything (work, fitness, golf, on and on). Never met anyone who can out work her.

Ellen: Adam is so funny and makes me laugh all the time. His wit and cleverness often take me by surprise, because his timing is perfect. He knows exactly how to make me smile. He is also so handsome and still can’t believe he’s mine. 😍

Ellen: He loves stuffed animals! Whenever I ask for a favor, he always replies “$5”
